Name Year Notes
National Highway Project 2048 A project to renovate and build more highways in the country, to better connect cities, cultures and regions of the country. On one of the highways, a tunnel of about 12 km in length was designed, replacing the old section of the national road between the town of Ghurta and Goderdzi Pass. A new highway was planned along the Skhalta River, the former Zomleti-Khikhadziri road being improved but for greater traffic capacity.
Ghurta - Goderdzi Pass Tunnel 2051 A tunnel designed to replace the old section of Highway D1, which crossed a mountain between the village of Ghurta and Goderdzi Pass. The tunnel is about 12km long and has 4 rest areas in each tunnel.
Batumi's Strategic Development Plan 2063 Batumi's strategic development plan was a population development and public services plan to improve the quality of life of the population, which had been degrading due to rapid population growth.
Black Sea Cruise Plan 2074 A plan to bring the biggest and most modern cruise ships to the Black Sea region, with cruises taking place between the more than 15 countries on the Black Sea and Sea of Azov coast. It was a plan created by all the countries on the coast of these two seas, together with the European Union and the United Nations - World Tourism Organization. It was conceived, debated and presented together with the Levantine Sea Cruise Plan, a "twin" plan that consists of the same.
Batumi Alexander Kartveli International Airport Expansion Project 2087 A project developed in 3 expansion phases: in the first phase, the construction of a new passenger terminal, modern and equipped with the latest check-in technology, was idealized. In the second phase, an extension of terminal 1 and an adaptation to receive larger planes were built and in the last expansion a new 3610 meter runway and an expansion of the 13/31 runway was planned.
